A’mâk-ı Hayal (In The Depths of Imagination) is the sufi magnum opus of Ahmad Hilmi (1865-1914). A’mâk-ı Hayal is a philosophical novel about the sufi Wahdat al-wujud belief.
In this exhibition, Işıl Gönen invites the viewers to young Raci’s world who tries to find answers about main ontological problems of life under favour of his master Aynalı Baba.
Upon Raci’s experience, in her paintings she tells about her journey in dreams of fantastic worlds and situations on road of being human.
